Trek of a Alison and Phil

Phil Luke and Alison McCarthy will be jetting off Boxing Day to embark on the trek of a lifetime. They will be seeing out the year 2017 and welcoming the New by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Phil and Alison are walking to raise awareness and build funds to support the Boro Walkers choosen local charities.

Pure Challenge Skipton Walk

On Saturday 14th October this fine group of The Boro Walkers all completed Pure Challenge Walk along the Leeds to Liverpool canal, starting at Skipton.

Weekly 7 mile, Tees Bridges walk

Every week we complete a 7 mile walk, starting in Middlesbrough Newport Bridge following the South shore of the river tees, under the Tees Flyover, the Stockton Millennium bridge, under the Princess Dianna Bridge and then crossing at the Infinity bridge and returning allow the North Shore, passing all the bridges and the beautiful Tees Barrage.

Lest we forget walk up Eston Nab ....28th October 17

Top of  the windy Eston Nab! The lads and lasses of Boro Walker’s do it again! What a fabulous veiw of Boro too! Lest we forget the past.

Supporting 40 Local Charities

The Boro Walkers association are proud of our accomplishments and we at HQ  would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has once again supported  us throughout 2018, four outstanding events this year;

  • The Fan Dance
  • Borowalkers Charity Football Tournament
  • The Whitby To Saltburn walk
  • The Great North Run

And as a result we have now been able to support 40 local charities/groups, our total amount raised will be unveiled at our up and coming handover party at the riverside on the 30th of November.

NPC Training Charity Shield 2019

The borowalkers charity shield tournament returns even bigger and better for 2019, the tournament will see 5 teams battle it out for the elusive charity shield ,with a location change for 2019, being held at Thornaby FC.

Boro Walkers Association Charity Presentation Night

TEAM SCORPIO  among many other local charities received cash gifts from the Boro Walkers association. A great night was had by all and they raised a further £5000 on the raffle. Team Scorpio said.


Whitby to Saltburn Walk 2018

Our annual 20 mile fundraising walk from Whale Bone Arch in Whitby, all the way to the Ship Inn in Saltburn.

Fan Dance June 2018

The Boro Walkers Association take on the UKs most gruelling challenge – a 14 mile route in the Brecon Beacons used for SAS selection, while carrying a weighted pack. Think you’re up for it?
